About Telangana Association of Uganda
Telangana was formed as 29th state of South-central India with capital city Hyderabad. It constitutes Hyderabad, Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahaboobnagar, Medak, Nalgonda, Nizamabad, Ranga Reddy and Warangal districts as on formation day.
The region has a rich tradition of culture and language with powerful expressions and sophisticated narratives. History, language, and dialect have molded Telangana sensibilities and identity.
Telangana Association of Uganda (TAU) is a non-profit organization by a group of people to unite all Telanganites in Uganda to work on various socio-economic activities such as education, provide health services, and organize cultural events etc for the people of Telangana.

Objectives
- Providing a platform for Telangana people who are staying in Uganda and people who come from Telangana Origin including their children and other people and also organizations who supports TAU come together on various socio-economic activities such as education, provide health services, organize cultural events, etc. which are non-profit.
- To strengthen cultural identity of Telangana among Telangana people living in Uganda.
- To develop and maintain an active web site that serves as a depository of information resources and links about Telangana along with a cyber space meeting place for the members to exchange and discuss views about Telangana culture and ASSOCIATION events.
- To mobilize savings from its members by way of monthly contribution to the association fund and to encourage members to raise funds for savings in every possible way.
- To unite all the People of Telangana living in Uganda under one umbrella of ASSOCIATION regardless of the, political, religious and ethnic background.
- To promote social-economic and ideological transformation of the children and youth of Telengana community in Uganda and Telengana region.
- To promote a spirit of patriotism among the Telengana youth living in Uganda.
- Enhance learning from each other for, confidence building and self-sustainability (Self-reliance).
- To carry out research on economic performance of the Telengana Region and available market opportunities for the youth with the aim of reducing youth unemployment,
- To address social evils and injustice like rampant poverty, illiteracy. malnourished children, child labor, farmer suicides, unemployment, water scarcity and electricity shortage as some of the problems affecting the people of Telengana region in Uganda.
- To mobilise funds from members and non-members to promote the welfare of Ugandan Brothers and sisters.
- To develop the relation between Telangana state and Uganda to support brotherhood by exchanging medical, education, agriculture, and technical knowledge.
- And to do all other things that as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the above objectives.
